Wisdom Has a Source
“The Lord gives wisdom. Knowledge and understanding come from his mouth.”
Proverbs 2:6
Information can tell us what is possible. Wisdom helps us decide what is faithful. We can gather facts, compare choices, and still need God to shape how we understand them.
Proverbs describes wisdom as something God gives to those who seek it. Wisdom includes knowledge, then reaches further. It considers timing, character, consequences, people, and purpose. It asks what love requires and what kind of person a choice is forming.
Many difficult decisions contain several technically workable answers. The wisest choice may depend on responsibilities, season, capacity, and the effect on others. Prayer slows us enough to bring those realities together under God's authority.
Bring your information to God. Ask him to expose pride, fear, haste, or self-protection in your reasoning. Invite counsel from people whose lives show maturity. Wisdom often arrives as clarity about the next responsibility, even when every future detail remains hidden.
Information becomes useful when wisdom gives it direction.

Review one decision you have been researching. List the facts you know, then ask four wisdom questions: What aligns with Scripture? What serves love and responsibility? What consequences can I reasonably foresee? What counsel have mature people offered?
